Ronald William "Ron" Howard is an American film director and an actor. Howard first became famous as an actor playing in the 1960s and 1970s movies. Having quit his career as an actor, he has directed a great many movies, inclusive of the bestseller The Da Vinci Code, and its sequel, Angels & Demons. The film is grounded on the book written by Dan Brown, the author of The Da Vinci Code that made the humanity split into two groups - its supporters and opponents, including the Catholic Church. Though The Da Vinci Code was banned in a great many countries, a lot of viewers all over the world have viewed the movie. The film Angels & Demons re-starts to describe the rivalry between the Church and science emphasised in The Da Vinci Code. The plot of the film Angels & Demons features the quest of Harvard University religious iconologist Robert Langdon to uncover the mysteries of a powerful underground society known as the Illuminati. The Vatican faces a threat when the top four cardinals to supersede the deceased Pontiff are abducted by members of the Illuminati devoted to scientific knowledge. The Church is promised that each cardinal will be killed one per hour starting at 8 pm, culminating with a detonation of an antimatter bomb under St Peter's Cathedral at midnight ruining the sacred city. To deal with the horrifying threat, the Church calls upon the services of historian and iconologist Robert Langdon played by Tom Hanks who is knowledgeable about the secret society. He has to begin the investigation immediately, hasting to find the abducted cardinals by decoding clues, symbols and other historical facts. Robert Langton together with physicist Vittoria tries to uncover the death of the Pontiff. The views of Rome in the movie are magnificent and breathtaking. The watcher has an opportunity to walk around the Italian capital and visit the most prominent historical and cultural masterpieces together with the characters. The movie does well to engage interest through its explanations of historical facts and the inside workings of the Vatican. The plot keeps the viewer involved and interested until the very end of the film. The story unfolds with unexpected twists and turns that leave the viewer thrilled.
